Preeti Soi, MD
Dr. Soi specializes in adult and child psychiatry. Her training in pediatrics, adult psychiatry, and child psychiatry allows her to understand the full spectrum of human development. She helps individuals who may be struggling with anxiety, obsessive thoughts, loneliness, depression, attention difficulties, behavioral challenges or relationship difficulties. Her particular interests include early childhood behavioral concerns, women's mental health, and working with young adults and immigrant families.
In therapy, she gently explores deeply rooted emotional patterns and how early experiences may influence present-day thoughts, emotions, and relationships. She also incorporates behavioral strategies, nutritional guidance, and lifestyle modifications when appropriate. Her additional training and experience in mindfulness offer patients the opportunity to develop greater awareness of their minds and bodies in a healthier, more balanced way. Her approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, empathy, and openness.
Dr. Soi earned her medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in general pediatrics at Cooper University Hospital, followed by a three-year combined adult and child psychiatry fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She completed additional training in mindfulness through the Beck Institute and Jefferson Health's Myrna Brind Center for Mindfulness.
Dr. Soi sees patients residing in Pennsylvania through both virtual and in-person appointments at the Wexford location. She accepts UPMC, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Aetna insurance, as well as self-pay. She is currently able to see adults for medication management and therapy, as well as pediatric patients for medication management.
